With the recent 0.12.00 release of ITM, Mission Control is excited to continue improving the stability and functionality of the system based on feedback from the Alpha testers.

In release 0.12.04 - the "My Events" feature, which was previously available in the secure section of ITM (under the Personal menu), was added to the public calendar.

This now allows any recognised visitor to your public calendar to see all the events they are involved with, both in the past and in the future. This brings together all the events that the visitor has been a student for, instructed, or been the Event Coordinator for. To see the "My Events" page on the public calendar, visitors should clock on the little person icon which will be visible if the calendar recognises the user. "My Events" is also available under the Personal menu once logged into ITM.

In release 0.12.00, we have radically changed the way public Calendars are defined and maintained. Previously all Organisation Groups had a public calendar, and were unable to turn this facility off. Now, with the new Calendar Administration menu item available to users with Event Administration privileges, public Calendars can be defined and edited, including the following abilities:

  • Hide or disable the Calendar
  • Set a password for visitors to be able to read it
  • Edit the name of the Calendar
  • Edit a subtitle and footer for the Calendar
  • Display multiple Organisation Groups on the same Calendar, allowing for regional calendars.

Another major change in this release is the availability of Preferences that can be managed by users with the appropriate administrative privileges. Privileges can be set using the two new menu items under the Administration menu. Useful new Preference settings include:

  • Default City, Region, Country for new Contacts
  • Default Contact Status and Security Role for newly created Contacts and Users
  • Default Event Start and End Times

Users will also benefit from the new "My Events" option available for all users in the Personal menu. This list will show the user a list of all the Events that they are involved with, whether it's as a Coordinator, Instructor, or Attendee.

The next major release will add the ability for visitors to your calendar to create a profile themselves, eliminating the need for you to create Contacts first.

2007-09-10 - Alpha Release 0.12.04 Release Notes:

  • The "My Events" feature is now available on the Public Calendar for all visitors that are recognised.

2007-07-12 - Alpha Release 0.12.00 Release Notes:

  • Calendars can now be created & managed, including the ability to have many OG's on one Calendar
  • Administrators can now control many Preferences at both the Organisation and Org Group level
  • All users can access the new 'My Events' list
  • The system now warns the user before they create a Contact that duplicates an existing Contact
  • On the Public Calendar a new icon allows users to maximise the calendar to take up all available browser space
  • Bug Fix: Contacts who belong to more than one Organisation can now transparently switch visitor profiles when visiting public calendars. Previously this bug allowed Contacts from on Organisation to sign up for events in another Organisation. Existing incorrect data has been corrected.

2007-01-22 - Alpha Release 0.11.00 Release Notes:

  • Online Registration is now available for existing Contacts
  • Automatic Confirmation mode for Event Registration lets ITM manage your participant list for you
  • Manual Confirmation mode gives the Event Coordinator the final say before confirming participants
  • Contact Status types can now be managed by Organisation Administrators
  • Bug Fix: Search system was failing when it returned Locations with very long descriptions
  • Added Company Name and Unique ID fields for Contacts to the search engine
  • Bug Fix: Locations were not always showing properly on the public calendar

2006-11-08 - Alpha Release 0.10.00 Release Notes:

  • Added new Event Attendance functionality for both Intended and Actual attendance. System can automatically manage available spaces and waitlist spots. Changes of a student's status are tracked over time.
  • Added new Contact fields : Company Name, Date of Birth, Gender, External Unique ID.
  • Created a generic Sign In Sheet report for all organisations to use when managing student attendance.
  • Training Course descriptions now show on Event Item pages (read-only mode) - meaning users no longer need to copy and paste the Training Course description in each time.
  • Event Item pages now show the available spaces and confirmed participant counts.
  • Bug fix: Schedule Edit page improved to remove the Org Group drop down list, which was innapropriate at that level.
  • Bug fix: The orange disk icon on the Event Edit screen was not showing up when a user's screen resolution was below the minimum required for using ITM (1024x768). This page has now been changed to allow the icon to show even on screens that do not meet the minimum requirement.
