2006-07-10 - Alpha Release 0.09.00 Release Notes:
- Events can now have a Status : Tentative, Confirmed or Cancelled. This status is represented by an icon on the Event List and Event Details pages, and makes it much easier for students to see which courses you have planned are definite.
- Events can now belong to a Category - which determines the new colour coding available on both the secure and public calendars. New Event Categories can be created by users with Training Administrator privileges.
- You can now specify 2 lead instructors for an Event. These are seperate from the instructors you could previously specify as part of an Event's Schedule.
- The layout of the Events List and other key screens has been improved to allow long names and descriptions to trim instead of wrap onto new lines. This makes it easier to read and looks nicer.
- Event related reports are now showing the Rich Text Descriptions added in 0.08 in a more useful way - i.e. they are somewhat closer to the layout specified by the user..
- The Calendars now display all of the text for an Event, rather than trimming to fit in the designated space. This behaviour was previously only available to Firefox browsers, but now works the same in Internet Explorer.
2006-06-08 - Alpha Release 0.08.00 Release Notes:
- Significantly improved the filtering capabilities of the Events List, and the Public Calendars. By default these lists now show Future Events only, although the user retains the ability to see all events.
- Renamed 'Programme' to be 'Schedule' instead, as user feedback has indicated this is a preferred name
- Training Levels now come in different types, and you can use rich text to write the description for them. The menu item is now called 'Courses and Levels', as Courses is a more commonly used word to describe one type of Training Level.
- Events now allow for rich text descriptions, and you can also do a lookup on existing events, Event Groups, and Training Levels to automatically insert a title, audience and description. Additionally, Events can now accept notes that are specific to training staff.
- Fixed several bugs that would have affected users with limited editing privileges in Organisations that had many Organisation Groups.
- When creating a Session, you can now do a lookup or an Add for a Subject.
- Made an Upcoming Events report available to the public through the public calendar system.
- Events can now store settings relating to Sign-Up features that will be available in future releases. This allows you to prepare for when those features become available, by determining now if you want to make your events available on the public calendar, and available for sign up.
