Event Description Start:
Jean MacNaughton’s place: 712 – 5A St NW
Arrive between 6:00 – 6:15pm.
Race description: 6:15
Mass Start: 6:30
YOU MUST BE THERE BY 6:15!
ChocoLoppet format:
·         At 6:15 you will given information about the race – it’s length and approximate climb
·         You will then secretly predict how long it will take you and secretly tell the time-keeper
·         Around 6:30 we will congregate and remove all watches & timing devices
·         At a time shortly after 6:30 we will have the mass start
·         The race will be around 5.0km. Quite easy, with nice running (unless snow comes)
·         Possibly no flags at all, since control sites are relatively simple. But nice route choices.
·         No watches or other timing equipment allowed (just in case you missed that ;-)
·         Person closest to their predicted time wins!
·         Prize is box of chocolates, expected to be shared with the non-winners
Following the race will be ham in a bun, some Christmas pies, and a bit of glug.
Feel free to bring some drink / snacks / goodies for sharing.
